Davis Family: Vanished Without Trace

The Three Who Vanished-But Did One Reappear?- Sasha Davis, Selah Davis, and Jarib Bennett

As I go through all my files, I’m stunned at the number of missing individual cases that have such little exposure. Some of them have ZERO exposure. Whole families vanish and we learn nothing about them?

This is one of them.

30-year-old Sasha Davis resided in the Bronx, New York with her two daughters. Sasha told her family that she and her 3-month-old daughter, Selah, schemed to travel to Rochester, New York. They scheduled to return four days later.

On February 15, 2008, Sasha and Selah left the Bronx in a rental car for the nearly six-hour drive to Rochester.

What her family didn’t realize was that Sasha and Selah were traveling with a friend, 27-year-old friend Jarib “Griff” Bennett.

Jarib was wedded with two daughters of his own. The connection between Sasha and Jarib is doubtful.

The trio has supposedly led the way to Rochester to visit friends.

They never came back.

On February 27, 2008, the rental car they were traveling in was discovered abandoned on Genesee Street, on the southwest side of Rochester, but there were no clues of the trio.

Now, when I google the name Jarib Bennett, an obituary comes up of a man who perished in 2017. He was married, with two daughters, resided in Englewood, New Jersey, AND has the exact date of birth as the Jarib Bennett who disappeared with Sasha and Selah.

Do you think this could be him or a huge coincidence?

I have questions. Did they make it to the friend’s home in Rochester? Any fingerprints, DNA, or evidence discovered in the car? Were their belongings in the car? Any video surveillance? Why did we hear about the McStay family every day before and after the trial, but not this group of people?

3-month-old Selah Davis was 2’0 and 20 pounds, and Sasha Davis was 5’5″-5’7″ and 120 pounds when they disappeared.

Jarib Bennett was 5’11” and 215-230 pounds when he disappeared.
